Things just got hotter and darker for Mike Travis after he killed the demon Astaroth in the cursed village of Aberth, Monmouthshire. Now they are out to get him, but not before they make him suffer. He must leave behind the paranormal investigations and become something else, something darker: Become a demon hunter.
Unwilling to sit back and wait for the fight, he takes it to them especially when those he loves are targeted by Malgron, a high-ranking demon and brother of Astaroth. His fight strengthens friendships and loyalties but, also brings with it surprising revelations and sacrifices.
As the demons attack those closest to him, Mike must meet the darkness head-on, in a place where darkness itself is spawned and raised.
Nothing will ever be the same again.
Review on amazon:
Yet again a terrific story. I love Mike and company they are described so well it's almost as if I know them now.
Each book has such pace, it grabs you and yanks you along as you hold on for dear life. There is never a moment where you even have time to draw breath.
I hate that it has to end but sadly all good things do so I will now wait in anticipation for the next instalment.
Once again Jan a cracking story now do hurry up and write the next one please.
Mike Travis is still trying to come to terms with his new status as a demon hunter.
He’s been to hell and back and the demons have declared war on him and all those he cares for. Now it’s a case of get them before they get him.
As he tries to understand how to battle the demons and win, he gets a call from his old friend and archaeologist, Josh Hammond. Josh tells him that during a dig in Megiddo, the accepted biblical site of the ultimate battle between good and evil, something is rising - something dark, something worse than evil.
The Demon Ark is rising, and with it the means to open every portal to hell on the earth. Expect to meet old friends and make new ones in this instalment of The Mike Travis Demon Hunter series.
Review on amazon:
These series of books have been a fantastic read. Jan really knows her stuff and how to keep her readers enthralled from the 1st to last page, it's excitement all the way. For now it seems we've heard the last of Mike and friends but hopefully Jan will relent and continue with another series of Mike Travis books in the future, as I'm sure there's more to tell us about his demon adventures and of course we'd love to know if Beth recovers, what happens to his daughter and of course Mike and Ben? Don't keep us waiting for to long Jan, we need to know. Sadly I can only give five stars instead of ten out of ten. Brilliant reading.
It’s hard enough being a demon hunter, but what do you do when there’s a demon inside you and, not just that, it’s keeping you alive?
Mike is relieved when a phone call from an old friend takes him to a Welsh village near the Wales/England border. The village is steeped in ‘traditions’ that were keeping an ancient evil at bay – traditions that go back to an iron-age sacrifice that was made to create a pact with a demon. It is Midwinter and the pact has been broken, leaving the demon free to claim her victims. Midwinter – the Winter Solstice – is a time of death and renewal, of offering and sacrifice. It is a time of dying. Mike must work with his friend and fellow hunter, Ben Lovecraft, to free this community from the demon and her lover – Lucifer – before Midwinter’s Night.

Yep, there all back and as ever fighting demons in their on inimitable way. As ever, Jan draws you into the story from the first page, then you just can't put it down. Believe me when I say, this ones a really Christmas Cracker, taking up from where the last story ended. Why oh why has nobody made these books into movies, (or at least a few T.V. movies) the stories are brilliant, likewise the characters and everyone loves a good fight between good and evil, so what's stopping it happening? As ever Jan's story gets ten out of ten from me. Totally recommended so enjoy.
Mike Travis is in trouble; the kind that gets you killed.
Not only is he up against a hoard of demons that have piggy-backed a ride from a wounded soldier returning from Afghanistan, but he is also the target for the evil Djinni. When he died in Megiddo in his efforts to prevent the Demon Ark from birthing onto the Earth, his best friend and partner, Jack Carter, made a decision to save him. He sanctioned a demon, Bazaliel the Shadow Demon, to possess his friend, on the agreement that the demon would keep Mike alive and heal him, body and soul. But Jack had forgotten the rules : Rule #1 Demons Lie, Rule #2 Demons Lie, Rule #3 Demons Lie, Rule #4 If you think they aren’t lying, you’re wrong!
Betrayed by Bazaliel, Mike is disintegrating into a darkness of his own as the Shadow Demon slowly, but surely, consumes his mind and his soul. And as if that wasn’t enough, Lucifer and the demon Pazuzu are back in play and are slugging it out for the throne of Hell, to which Mike holds the key.
Summoned back to where he said he would never return, Mike is headed for Crowsmoor, on the bleak and windswept Bodmin Moor. He is returning to where it all began.

A power struggle with evil tightening it's grip. Will Mike live and save the world. The only way for me to find out was a sleepless night reading.
Have read all his adventures and hopefully not the last
